What to Expect


Is this meeting for me? 

We’d like to say yes 100%, after all you have managed to find us and are reading this page. Maybe you are thinking of starting a new business after being made redundant, or have been through another change in your life? Perhaps you have been in business for a number of years and like to meet new people and make contacts whilst gaining valuable support? No matter what stage of business you are at we like to welcome women from all trades as everyone has something valuable to share and of course who knows what will happen to give a positive impact in your business journey. Why not book a meeting and see for yourself?

I’ve booked my place at a meeting. What next?

You’ll receive the access details no later than 1 hour prior to the meeting you have registered for. Please ensure you check your email account which you supplied on registration and also the junk folder – we all know how even important things can end up in there! If you do not have the access details please contact us on 01268 921079.

What do I need to do to get the most out of the meeting?

The first thing to do is to not be worried – networking is not as daunting as you may think. All you need is to prepare a short introduction to your business so you can share this with others on the call, decide what you would like to get out of the meeting, perhaps new contacts or help in a particular area of business.

Meetings are virtual, is this long term?

Our meetings are currently all virtual due to various restrictions and uncertainty surrounding COVID-19. We are reviewing the situation continuously but decided it best for the remainder of 2020 and at least until April 2021 to keep things virtual for the safety of our members, guests and to allow better planning for all. Meeting virtually does have it’s benefits – no travelling time to account for to name but one. Our plan is to return to face to face meetings as soon as we feel it’s right and will update everyone as soon as any decisions are made. 

How do I share my contact details with other attendees on the call?

Of course whilst we are virtually meeting business cards are not required. We have adapted our booking registration to include information such as telephone number, website and social media links. If supplied, and terms accepted at booking, we will compile an attendee list to distribute amongst all attendees on the call which will be shared via email within 72 hours of the meeting. 

What is the meeting format?

Our virtual meetings will commence at 10am until 12noon including a short break at a suitable point. 

10.00 – 10.05
Opening of meeting and arrival of attendees. Please aim to be as prompt as possible.  Any news from Biz’ee Women will be given at this time.

10.05 – 10.25
Mini-Intro’s Buzz Round (60-Second Pitch)
Who you are, what’s your business, what you are looking to gain from the meeting/group to help you in your business, any particular clients you are looking for.

10.25 – 10.35
Are you looking for a business to collaborate with on a project or perhaps more long term within your business? Perhaps those on the call may have ideas or suggestions for you to consider too which could take your business to the next level.

10.35 – 10.50 
Business Spotlight
Member or sponsor spotlight on their business and how they can help others.

Rest Break – Top up your teas/coffees. 


11.00 – 11.45
#AskTheExpert Guest Speaker Session with Q&A’s


Business Interactive Brainstorming & Discussion
Based on the topic of the month/meeting. This may be done as a whole group or in smaller groups.

11.45 – 12noon
A session where you can speak to another attendee in more detail. Choose at least 1 person on the call to have a 1-2-1 with. Of course we also encourage everyone to arrange to meet with other(s) outside of the meeting at a mutually convenient time. You can decide to meet online or in person – the choice is up to you both.
Testimonials (time permitting)
Have you done business with a fellow attendee of Biz’ee Women (ideally must be on the call and within the last month)? Share your praise and help them shine.


Even while we are networking online we also would like to encourage you to bring samples of your product(s) where possible to the call. Having visuals helps others to understand your business and your product(s) more. Many of us are small businesses, with a limited budget and almost certainly do not have a sales force. Being at a Biz’ee Women meeting means that other attendees become your natural salesforce. So don’t loose out on the opportunity to expand your reach.

Due to the new way of networking during these challenging times, we have had to adapt the way in which we operate but also giving members more support and choice. Being online only we now offer a new membership. Members can benefit from:

We are offering one sponsorship at each of our meetings for just £10 extra. All sponsors will be able to present a business spotlight and receive social media and website promotion for one month.
